Who doesn’t love a hot summer, poolside fun, the beach and the sand? It is definitely a glorious time. However, summer isn’t all fun and games, and the weather and seasonal activities can have a devastating impact on your skin and hair. The solution isn’t as simple as applying sunscreen. It requires a change in your grooming routine (yes, men too have to take good care of their looks). Don’t stress out, it isn’t complicated either. In most cases, you will only need to add a couple of steps to your typical hygiene schedule. Here’s what you need to do.
Clean your face
Dirt, sweat, dust and dead skin cells can pile up on your face and clog your pores. You probably already wash your face during your morning and evening routine, but for this season, you will need something a bit more efficient. Choose a quality Aussie made Lqd face wash. Make sure the product doesn’t contain alcohol or toxic chemicals, since these tend to strip your skin of its natural oils and harm it in other ways as well. Also, if you are allergic to certain fruits or nut extracts, you will want to check for that too.
Hydrate and moisturize
Feeling thirsty? So does your skin. Drinking plenty of water will hydrate it from the inside, and prevent it from looking dry and dull. However, this is not enough. You will need to up the hydration from the outside too. Do this by getting a moisturizer that will keep your skin fresh and youthful. The moisturizer should be quick absorbing and contain SPF, especially if you have a habit of forgetting to apply the sunscreen when you go outside.
Take care of your skin in the evening
You’re finally home and you’re getting ready to go to bed, but before you do that, you need to tend to your skin. This is especially significant during this season, because you have probably spent your day in the sun. Cleaning your face with a face wash and then applying a night cream will help your skin restore its natural texture, and prevent premature aging. Because of that, you should check Asap products which include a multi-functional night cream with anti-aging effect.
For bearded fellas
If you rock your beard proudly, you need to prevent dryness and split ends which are the characteristic consequences of hot summer weather. Incorporate a nurturing Avaj beard shampoo and a conditioner that will shield your beard from the sun.
Scrub, scrub, scrub
Remember the dead skin cells we mentioned earlier? Well, they can be really persistent and difficult to remove even with a quality face wash. Because of that, you should make it your habit to exfoliate your face and body, at least once in two weeks. Without the dead skin cells in their way, your skin products will reach your skin much easier, and therefore, they will be more efficient.
Shave more carefully
If you like the skin of your face smooth and you shave regularly, you should include some extra steps in your shaving routine. Getting a razor of good quality is common sense, but you should also be sure that it is both effective and gentle. The choice of the aftershave lotion plays a huge role in how your skin will look and feel like after shaving. It should be something like Arthur J Hawke’s Post Shave Balm with a nourishing and hydrating effect.
Not just the face
You have skin all over your body, don’t you? Well, don’t neglect it during the summer, because it is exposed to sunlight, chlorine from the pool, salt from seawater and other elements. Besides your regular routine of applying sunscreen, you should also use a body moisturizer so you wouldn’t have to face dry itchy skin all over your body.
You see? It isn’t that complicated at all. Follow these tips and look your best this summer, and every other summer that comes.
